Phuket - The Andaman beauty
Phuket is one of Thailand's most popular destinations. Many people consider it to be their favorite island in the world. Phuket has something to offer all its visitors. Families, people who travels alone, pensioners, couples, backpackers, sport lovers and party people etc. You can find all of them in Phuket.
It is not hard to find your favorite spot here, You can easily find a calm place where it is easy to relax. Phuket is a big island and it is only in places like Patong you might find some crowds. There are a little more than 70.000 (2004) inhabitants in Phuket, divided on 810 square kilometers. That makes it less than an average of 100 people per km2. The best weather in the Andaman area (Phuket, Krabi, Koh Phi-Phi etc.) is from December until May. But the prices decreases significantly the rest of the year as well as the number of tourists.

Koh Samui
Koh Samui, a small tropical island located in south Thailand, has become an internationally renowned destination. The most popular parts are the East Coast for its beautiful white beaches and the North coast for a more quiet stay. But there are many hidden gems all around the island for travellers looking for peace and paradise like holidays.
Chaweng Beach is the real heart of Koh Samui, daytime and nighttime activities are numerous and still very affordable. The accommodation range is wide and will satisfy any budget. Unlike Phuket, most of the hotels and resorts open directly on the beach, many of them offering dinner on the beach after 6 pm, and later on, you can lie down on cushion and have a last drink (or more) looking at the stars and listen to the sound of small waves. Note that as Chaweng is a kind of lagoon, the waves are small and quiet.

Hat Yai
(also Haad Yai / Had Yai) is a city in southern Thailand near the border to Malaysia.
Hat Yai may well be one of the least interesting cities in Thailand. It's a relatively modern invention resulting from the construction of the railway linking Thailand to Malaysia and Singapore in the nineteenth century.
